A history of legendary icons

When the myths meet, new legends are born.

The myths are Steve McQueen, Avirex and Triumph . The new legends are the Scrambler by Avirex and the collection of clothes Avirex by Triumph.

Avirex and Triumph together: the motorcycle and fashion meet thanks to Steve McQueen.

After 46 years of the coming out of the movie "The Great Escape", in which the American actor was wearing Avirex clothes and was driving a Triumph motorcycle, the two brands have decided to pay him tribute putting together their respective style.

The cooperation consists in the realization of two motorcycle models and a collection of clothing.

Made by Romano Ridolfi, one of the “sacred monsters” of the international scene and new designer of Avirex, the two Scrambler "Chinos Khaki" and "Military Grey" can be recognized by the logo Triumph by Avirex on the tank and also by the special one-piece solo seat, with Arrow 2-into-1 exhaust, black wheels, Avirex leather seat, body and headlamp grid in the same color.

They will be produced in a limited edition run, rigorously numbered and will be displayed in the Avirex stores of the main Italian cities. The motorcycles can be ordered in all the official Triumph dealers.

Beside these two motorcycles, a small limited edition clothing collection has been created: a goatskin leather jacket with the hand painted logo of the two brands; two t-shirts and one sweatshirt in soft jersey; a pair of chinos pants in gabardine. From spring 2010 the collection will be sold in all Italian Avirex flagship stores and in the best clothing stores.
